Privacy Policy

Effective date: 23 October 2026

In short: Scan4Plan has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We run no servers that your scans or projects are sent to. Your work stays on your devices and, if you use it, in your own iCloud account.

Who we are

Scan4Plan is made by Andre Jordaan, an independent developer based in Denmark, who is the data controller for this policy. Contact: info@scan4plan.app.

What we collect

Nothing, through the app. We do not receive, store or process personal data from your use of Scan4Plan. The App Store lists the app as "Data Not Collected".

What the app uses on your device

Camera and LiDAR sensor: used to scan rooms. The scan is processed on your device by Apple's RoomPlan technology. The app keeps the measured plan, not camera images, and no scan data is sent to us.
Compass: used only to point the north arrow on your plan. The app reads the compass direction, not your location.
Barometer (motion and fitness permission): used to tell which floor you scanned is higher, so the floors of a home stay in order. The reading is used on the device and not stored.
Projects and floor plans: saved in the app on your device. If iCloud Drive is turned on for Scan4Plan, projects are also kept in your private iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. That storage is provided by Apple, and we cannot access it.
Your branding: the agency name, logo and colours you add are stored in the app on your device.
Export credit balance: a number kept in your device's secure keychain so it survives reinstalling the app. If you use iCloud Keychain, Apple syncs it to your other devices. It contains no personal information.

Plans can include details you type in yourself, such as a property address. That information stays in your project and in the files you choose to export.

Sharing and exports

When you export a plan, report or CAD bundle, the file is created on your device and goes only where you send it with the standard iOS share sheet. What happens to it after that is up to you and the app or person you send it to.

Purchases

Credit packs are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and we never see your payment details or Apple ID. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They help us fix bugs and do not identify you. You can turn this off under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

This website

scan4plan.app uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses briefly to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

When you email us

If you contact support, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and we delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Apart from support emails we hold none. To remove data from your device, delete projects in the app or delete the app. Your credit balance stays in the keychain so purchases survive a reinstall. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or your local authority.

Children

Scan4Plan is a professional tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If a future version changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the effective date above changed before that version is released.
